Ballad of Worst Case Scenarios in an Era of Intersecting Pandemics is a site-specific, augmented reality installation of interactive animation on the Reading Spa Windows of Central Library. The first half of the animation has thus far focused on the COVID pandemic, the second half will detail the ever present pandemic of White supremacy and how these two pandemics intersect. The interactive artwork animation will contain hidden elements that the viewer could at times unlock with their phone to complete the artwork composed from individual, hand drawn frames of mixed media on watercolor paper, this animation will explore our present anxieties to the fullest by quoting popular dystopian fiction, historical manuscripts from the time of the Black Plague, and political cartoons published during the Spanish flu.
